About the Location: Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is home to Shaun Ellis, Helen Jeffs and their wolf pack. Combe Martin is a small seaside town in Devon, England, on the edge of Exmoor National Park. This unique location allows ample space for the Wildlife & Dinosaur Park, which is situated on 26 acres of woodland. The park has a diverse mix of wild animals, including meerkats, snow leopards and sea lions. Shaun and his wolves are a major attraction for the wildlife park, and they have a daily show for visitors to help promote awareness for the plight of wolves. Shaun and Helen live directly outside of the wolf enclosure at Combe Martin in order to be in close proximity to the wolves at all times. Details about Shaun and Helen's Relationship Shaun and Helen met in the summer of 2005. Shaun had been living with wolves throughout the course of three years, and Helen was a volunteer at the wildlife park. Contact was difficult at first because of Shaun's living situation, but they eventually had their first date at a local pub. Shaun's offbeat lifestyle never deterred Helen, and throughout the years, Helen has developed a passion for the wolves. The Wolves The wolves at Combe Martin are all bred in captivity. Wolves were once abundant in the Scottish highlands and throughout England, but by the end of the 17th century, the last wild wolves had been killed. Today, there are no known wild wolves in England. Shaun and Helen would like to see wolves eventually reintroduced into the United Kingdom, and their efforts with the wolves support this goal. Explore More
