WHALE WARS HONORED WITH A PRIMETIME EMMY NOMINATION!

WHALE WARS, Animal Planet's adrenaline-fueled series following the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as they wage a life-and-death battle to find and stop whaling ships in the Antarctic, was honored for Outstanding Cinematography for Nonfiction Programming. The series also garnered a Television Academy Honor for "television with a conscience" this past spring.

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presents the Primetime Emmy Awards, long considered the highest honor in television. Winners will be announced at the Creative Arts Awards ceremony held on Saturday, September 12, at the NOKIA Theatre in Los Angeles, and the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will be telecast live on CBS on Sunday, September 20 also from the NOKIA Theatre.
