ALL ABOUT TIGERS

TIGERS CAN ADMINISTER THEIR OWN FIRST AID

Despite their strength and size, tigers still often come out of a fight with their fair share of battle wounds, but fortunately they carry a first aid kit with them 24/7. This soothing relief comes courtesy of their own saliva, which acts as an antiseptic that can be used to clean up wounds inflicted by prey or rivals.

While a tiger may be able to help mend itself, that’s where their healing abilities begin and end, but tragically not everyone subscribes to this theory. In fact, one of the main factors contributing to the demise of this animal is due to the use of tiger derivatives in traditional Chinese medicines. The controversial practice has been in place for over 1,000 years, but there’s not a shred of evidence to back up the claims that any of these treatments work.
