In keeping with the theme, some of the food should be related to puppies. For example, serve hot dogs or make cookies using a dog bone cookie cutter.

Try making "People Puppy Chow":

Melt 1 stick butter, 1 cup peanut butter and 1 package of chocolate chips in microwave until melted smooth.

Pour over 12 ounces (1 box) of Crispix cereal, stir. Then, pour coated cereal into a large paper bag with 2-3 cups powdered sugar. Close the bag and shake, shake, shake. Pour contents onto wax paper to cool.
