The Annual Bowl of Puppies

puppy bowl vii

Don't miss Puppy Bowl VII, beginning at 3 p.m. E/P Sunday, Feb. 6!

The biggest event on all fours is back! Puppy Bowl returns for its seventh consecutive year with an all-star, all-adorable cast that's ready to mix it up on the grand gridiron of Animal Planet Stadium. Puppy Bowl VII brings viewers a loveable lineup that's itching to play in a winning combination of terrier tackles, touchdowns, puppy penalties, fumbles and Fido first downs. Featuring fan favorites like the Water Bowl Cam, tail-gating fans, and the Ice Breakers blimp and its hamster crew, this year's big game is sure to be a tail-wagger. For the first time ever, viewers can watch the action from the puppy's point-of-view with the new Puppy Cam. And be on the lookout for the "chicks" on the sidelines with the addition of chicken cheerleaders. Also, don't miss the debut of the Kiss Cam, which is sure to keep the crowd on its feet. From barking beagles and spunky spaniels to everything in between, we've got the cutest players taking the field on the most action-packed Sunday of the year. Plus, back for another year is the popular Bissel Kitten Halftime Show, guaranteed to bring the house down! And, for the first time in Puppy Bowl history, all the action will broadcast in a stunning native 3-D version that will premiere on "3net" — the new 3-D network joint venture of Discovery Communications, Sony and IMAX in 2011.

The Voice of Puppy Bowl

Jeff Bordner: Puppy Bowl VI and VII
Master of ceremonies Jeff Bordner is an Emmy Award-winning voice talent, professional broadcaster, actor and live performer.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in the largest television and radio, markets in the world -- from New York to Los Angeles and overseas -- Jeff has performed as a national and international voice artist, radio personality, TV host, news director and sports announcer. In addition to announcing for The International Olympic Committee, The Utah Jazz and other high-profile clients, Jeff has lent his versatile, baritone voice to the NBA, XFL and NFL for some of their promos, too. You may have also heard him on Sirius/XM radio, ESPN, and many other radio and TV affiliates.

Harry Kalas: Puppy Bowl I through V
Award-winning sportscaster Harry Kalas lent his voice to calling puppy penalties and doggie downs every year during Puppy Bowl, from the very first game in 2005 through Puppy Bowl V in 2009. In addition to his work on Puppy Bowl, Harry was best known for his Frick Award-winning role as lead announcer for Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies. For professional football, he served as a voice-over narrator for NFL Films, whose segments were featured regularly on Inside the NFL, and called NFL games for Westwood One radio. Harry passed away on April 13, 2009. The sound of his booming and powerful voice juxtaposed against the fancy footwork of our furry players will be sorely missed.
