Bindi Sue Irwin was born on the 24th July 1998 in Queensland, Australia to her two proud parents Steve and Terri Irwin. From the very first day of her birth, Bindi has been involved with her Mum and Dad's filming and wildlife conservation work and handled everything from spiders and snakes to crocodiles and elephants. She has traveled extensively all over the world with her family and made numerous appearances in not only most of her parent's television programs but guest spots on many worldwide talk shows such as
Oprah in Chicago,
Late Night with David Letterman in New York,
Ellen Degeneres Show in Los Angeles as well as
Access Hollywood,
Entertainment Tonight,
Good Morning America and
The Insider.
Bindi is home schooled and making excellent grades — a first class student who likes "creative writing" best and not too keen on math. She sponsors a World Vision unprivileged child in Asia and donates a lot of her time and pocket money to help Wildlife Warriors Worldwide (her dad's conservation charity) and assists at the Australian Wildlife Hospital.
Her favorite color is pink and her favorite animals are crocodiles and snakes but she loves koalas, possums and lizards and has a pet rat named "Candy." She is currently learning to play piano as well as how to ride a surfboard.
She loves singing and dancing, particularly about wildlife, and has her own group "The Crocmen" who perform with her at Australia Zoo as well as at special events such as "G'Day USA" at the Music Center in Los Angeles and the New York City Center in 2007 to over 2,800 audiences.
Bindi is currently working on her first television series —
Bindi The Jungle Girl for Discovery Kids on air 2007.
