Learn about the Saint Paul Canine Unit

The mission of the Saint Paul Police Department Canine Unit is to provide highly-trained canine officer teams who serve both the officers of the Saint Paul Police Department and the citizens of Saint Paul.

The canine team is comprised of a sergeant and 21 officer/canine teams. They were responsible for hundreds of arrests in Saint Paul last year and are capable of:

Performing evidence recovery
Building and area searching
Tracking
Narcotic searches
Explosive searches
