Meet the Staff

Dr. Doty joined P.E.T. in spring 2007, where she's already earned quite a reputation for being an expert with exotic animals such as macaws, African gray parrots, bearded dragons, iguanas and snakes.

Dr. Doty also uses Eastern practices to cure her patients, including veterinary acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. This Anchorage native loves to scuba dive in Hawaii, and has no plans to retire in the Far North.

Ask her and she will tell you quite firmly, "I hate the cold." Dr. Doty has six pets: two rescue cats and four rescue dogs. Trevor, a Pomeranian, is the most high-maintenance; he is bald (due to a skin disease), diabetic and sassy.
