Bottlenose Dolphins (Tursiops truncates)
Bottlenose dolphins are by far the most common breed of oceanic dolphins. They live all over the world in warm waters and are extremely social. The most well-known of the dolphins, bottlenose dolphins are the first to get collected for water aquariums. Bottlenose dolphins are currently being killed in Taiji, Japan for their meat. There are four different types of bottlenose dolphins: the common, Pacific, Indo-Pacific and the Black Sea bottlenose dolphin.
