No. 10 - Bat a Ball
| Want to give your pet hours of fun and exercise? Just toss a ball on the floor and the chase is on! Batting a ball around not only gives your pet a cardiovascular workout – a much-needed activity for most indoor pets – it allows them to hone their catch and release skills. Any rubber or plastic ball will do, but the best ball for batting is a wadded-up piece of paper. Felines probably enjoy this game most of all, pouncing on their "prey" and then giving it a nudge so they can hunt it down and attack once more. Just be sure that it's not small enough for the animal to swallow. Cotton balls, string and other small objects can be swallowed and obstruct an animal's bowels, a condition that can be fatal if not treated. |
