GRAND PRIZE: One Grand Prize winner, chosen by our judging panel and people's choice voting, will be named Animal Planet 2008 Hero of the Year and awarded:
- $10,000 donation made to the winner’s favorite animal welfare organization.
- A trip for two (2) to a destination of the winner’s choice that supports the winner's animal welfare passion.

Hero of the Year Nominator Prize: The entrant who nominated the winning Hero of the Year will receive a $1,000 cash prize.

CAT HERO AWARD: The Cat Hero of the Year, chosen by our judging panel and people’s choice voting, will be awarded: $5,000 donation from the makers of Fresh Step® litter to the animal welfare organization of the winner’s choice.

Cat Hero Award Nominator Prize: The entrant who nominated the Cat Hero Award Recipient will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
