The Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) is North America's leading accrediting organization for zoos and aquariums, and admits only those institutions meeting rigorous standards for animal care, wildlife conservation, and science-based education.   Look for the AZA logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you, and a better future for all living things. With its 218 accredited members, the AZA is a leader in global wildlife conservation, and your link to helping animals in their native habitats. Get involved by visiting an accredited zoo near you and supporting AZA's wildlife conservation programs:

Saving Threatened and Endangered Species
The conservation, education and research programs at AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums have become vital to the conservation of threatened and endangered species.  Many animals would not exist in the wild today without the amazing animals and the dedicated people at accredited zoos and aquariums. Find out more.

Conservation Endowment Fund
Through its Conservation Endowment Fund, AZA supports important wildlife conservation and education projects.  Projects are led by experts at AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and their conservation partners around the world.

Amphibian Fund/Year of the Frog
Frogs are going extinct. So are toads, salamanders, newts, and the intriguingly unusual caecilians. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums is highlighting 2008 as the Year of the Frog to mark a major conservation effort to address the amphibian extinction crisis. Find out how you can help.
