Before you head out to enjoy the summer, take a little extra time this month to ROAR for your pets. Show your furry family members how much you care by checking out our useful cat health guide and dog health guide, which are full of info on how to attend to their medical and dental needs. While you’re at it, follow our tips to pet-proofing your home and avoid any accidents before they happen. Even the smallest acts will help make sure your pets remain happy, healthy members of the household.

Rebirth the Earth: Trees for Tomorrow

Taking care of animals also means taking care of their habitats. This month, Animal Planet is proud to be a Partner in Action for the "Rebirth the Earth: Trees for Tomorrow" campaign with Roots & Shoots, a program of the Jane Goodall Institute. The project encourages youth action across the globe, enabling Roots & Shoots members in Tanzania to start five new tree nurseries, while also encouraging groups in the U.S. and other countries to take action by planting native trees in their own communities. Learn more about how to join the campaign and seek sponsorship for the trees you plant – the funds your group helps to raise will support the establishment of Roots & Shoots tree nurseries around the world.

Animal Planet Expo

Summer is almost here, and that means Animal Planet Expo is just around the corner. This FREE, fun-filled family event is coming to cities all across the U.S., and this year, we’ve created plenty of ROAR-related areas and activities for you to explore. Check out the schedule to find an Animal Planet Expo event closest to your community and mark your calendar! While you’re there, be sure to visit all of our ROAR areas and get the 4-1-1 on how YOU can make a difference in the lives of animals – plus some fun freebies, too. You can even make your ROAR Promise at the Expo and receive a limited-edition tote bag while supplies last!

NWF's National Wildlife Watch

Take time outdoors with your friends and family to enjoy wildlife by experiencing the magical beauty of spring unfold...you can record your experiences or register to be part of a NWF's National Wildlife Watch! If you have questions on the birds you see, post your queries on the messageboard and an NWF contact will help you identify the species.
