Sherene Schostak, M.A. is a Jungian psychotherapist, author and metaphysician who specializes in helping creative artists transform their addictions and blocks. She has been in private practice in New York City for the past thirteen years consulting, writing and teaching.
She is the creator and Editor of the online flip-through Astrology mag: www.constellationmag.com. She is the co-author of Surviving Saturn's Return: Overcoming the most tumultuous time of your life as well as The Fate of Your Date and Dog Stars from Penguin Putnam. Sherene holds a Master's Degree from New York University in Clinical Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the New School for Social Research where she plans to complete her PhD in Psychology.
She is currently the resident astrologer at Elle Uk and ElleUk.com; and formerly wrote the Astrology column for Teen Vogue. Sherene teaches classes and workshops internationally on Astrology, Archetypal Psychology, Eastern Philosophy and Authentic Movement. She is the creator of Zodiac Dance, the workout DVD: and the workshops from which it was derived.
Sherene has a beautiful black pug, Roxy who is a Gemini. Sherene says, "Roxy has taught me many lessons over the past eleven years of our blissful inseparable love fest together, including traits that are specific to her astrological make-up. She has a Taurus ascendant, so unlike many dogs and humans, she exhibits the patience of a saint in any given situation. The Gemini side of her nature shows up in her inability to even decide which direction we should walk. She will sometimes stop and go back and forth from right to left several times before deciding on whether we are going South or North, East or West."
Roxy likes to wear two rhinestone collars (a black one and a pink one) instead of one to display her dual nature. And Sherene says that Roxy even alternates between peeing like a boy dog and a girl dog—sometimes squatting and other times lifting her leg, macho-style. Roxy is eternally youthful and energetic as most Gemini's are well into their older years.
