Mussels to Gain Muscle?
In response to a lawsuit, the Wildlife Service has proposed in 2006 designating 1,200 miles of rivers and streams in Alabama, Florida and Georgia as critical habitat for seven federally protected mussel species, including the fat threeridge, shown here.
