A Common Site in Garamba
The carcass of a young female northern white rhino lies mutilated in typical poaching fashion at Garamba National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It's estimated that as few as 10 to 15 of this highly endangered subspecies remain in the wild, five of which were moved to a park in Kenya in early 2005 to protect them from extinction at the hands of poachers.
