National Wildlife Federation® (NWF) is America's conservation organization, inspiring Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future. NWF unites individuals from diverse backgrounds through a grassroots network of 5 million members, supporters and volunteers. NWF programs educate and inspire people from all walks of life to conserve wildlife and wildlife habitat. NWF focuses its conservation work in three major areas that will have the biggest impact on the future of America's wildlife:
Confronting global warming and seeking solutions to this major threat to the nation's wildlife;
Protecting and restoring wildlife habitat, especially habitats that provide a home for threatened and endangered species such as Florida panthers, grizzly bears, orcas, bald eagles and wolves; and
Connecting people to nature so they gain an appreciation and respect for the natural world and develop a conservation ethic that will assure a world of wildlife and wild places for the future.
