The Tiger Sleeper Goby is also known as the Ward's Sleeper, Ward's Tiger, or Watchman Tiger Goby. It has a white body with brown bands, and an eyespot on the first dorsal fin.
It should be housed in a 50 gallon or larger aquarium with live sand as the substrate, and an attached populated refugium. It will rarely become aggressive towards other fish, but it is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a male-female pair.
Usually the Tiger Sleeper Goby will feed off the bottom sifting through the sand. The diet should consist of a variety of live and frozen brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, live black worms, and prepared foods for carnivores. It should be fed frequently.
Like other gobies, they are generally compatible with: Dwarf Angelfish, Anthias, Basslets, Batfish, Blennies, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Cardinalfish, Clownfish, Damselfish, Filefish, Hawkfish, Pseudochromis, Puffers and Tangs & Surgeons.
