The Springer's Pseudochromis, also known as the Springer's Dottyback, or Springerii Pseudochromis, is primarily dark blue with three vertical face bands of light blue and deep blue outlines on the fins. Tank raised specimens are available.
A 30 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of hiding places is ideal. It may prey on bristleworms and small shrimp while hiding in the protection of stony branched corals of a reef aquarium. It may become aggressive towards other Pseudochromis or other fish of similar body shape.
The diet consists of meaty foods such as brine shrimp and prepared frozen foods.
Like other pseudochromis, they are generally compatible with: Dwarf Angelfish, Anthias, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Clownfish, Damselfish, Goatfish, Gobies, Grunts & Sweetlips, Hawkfish, Squirrelfish and Tangs & Surgeons.
