The Flame Hawkfish, also known as the Brilliant Hawkfish, has a bright red body with dark markings along the dorsal fin and around the eyes.
It requires a 30 gallon or larger aquarium. It eats small fish and shrimp, and uses the anemone Heteractis magnifica for cover, and swims within the branches of hard corals.
The Flame Hawkfish diet should include a variety of marine meats, frozen preparations, and live feeder shrimp.
Like other hawkfish, they are generally compatible with: Dwarf Angelfish, Large Angelfish, Anthias, Basslets, Batfish, Blennies, Boxfish, Butterflyfish, Cardinalfish, Clownfish, Damselfish, Filefish, Goatfish, Gobies, Hawkfish, Hogfish, Parrotfish, Pseudochromis, Puffers, Squirrelfish and Tangs & Surgeons.
