The Cocktail Wrasse is also referred to as the Long Jaw Wrasse or Flagfin Wrasse. It has a mottled red body with white facial markings.
A 55 gallon or larger aquarium is suitable. If placed in a reef aquarium, it would try to eat a number of the smaller inhabitants such as shrimp, small fish, snails, serpent stars, bristleworms, and mantis shrimp.
Its diet should consist of a variety of live foods, (shrimp, worms), flaked food, and frozen, meaty preparations for carnivores.
Like other wrasse, they are generally compatible with: Large Angelfish, Boxfish, Damselfish and Tangs & Surgeons.
They are not compatible with: Batfish, Pseudochromis, Seahorses & Pipefish and Sharks & Rays.
