The Cocktail Wrasse is also referred to as the Long Jaw Wrasse or Flagfin Wrasse. It has a mottled red body with white facial markings.

A 55 gallon or larger aquarium is suitable. If placed in a reef aquarium, it would try to eat a number of the smaller inhabitants such as shrimp, small fish, snails, serpent stars, bristleworms, and mantis shrimp.

Like other wrasse, they are generally compatible with: Large Angelfish, Boxfish, Damselfish and Tangs & Surgeons.
