Freshwater Fish
Guppies

Guppies are a familiar fish to most aquarists. These hardy colorful fish add excitement and brilliance to the passive community aquarium, and are easy to breed, making them an ideal choice for the novice aquarist. Male Guppies usually have a larger more colorful tail than their female counterpart. Many strains such as cobras, deltas, and tux varieties are available. These variety names refer to among other traits, the color pattern on the side of the fish's body, and also the shape and pattern on the tail. Guppies remain small, under 2-1/2 inches in length, and will add interest and color to the small community aquarium.
