About the IUCN: The IUCN, or World Conservation Union, is the world's largest conservation network. Their Red List of Threatened Species is the world's most comprehensive inventory of the global conservation status of plant and animal species.

About the USFWS: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is dedicated to managing and preserving wildlife in the United States. They help administer the Endangered Species Act, which is designed to protect threatened and endangered species from extinction.
