BORNEO SHARK (Carcharhinus borneensis)

Description: The Borneo shark is extremely rare and known by only a few specimens. It lives in the shallow coastal waters of the South Pacific Ocean. It is viviparous, meaning it gives birth to live young. Like most sharks, the Borneo shark is a successful hunter and has few natural predators. Humans are one exception and the Borneo shark is currently threatened by fishing operations.
