Description: The swan goose is a large, elegant water bird with a distinctive bicolored neck, which is dark brown on the back and light on the front. It prefers wetlands, bogs and other habitat that offers fresh or estuarine waters. It breeds in Central Asia and winters in East Asia. This species is undergoing rapid decline in the past few decades, owing to hunting and habitat loss, mainly for agriculture.

Habitat: Wetlands, bogs and similar habitat
Location: Central and East Asia
Diet: Sedges and other aquatic plants
