GRAY WOLF

A female gray wolf gives birth to her pups in a den and nurses them for about a month. They are born deaf, blind, and tiny. When they emerge, they are protected and fed regurgitated food by their parents and other pack members. When they are just a few months old, wolf pups may leave the pack and form their own territories.
