KING PENGUIN

The king penguin lives and breeds in large colonies on the continent of Antarctica. Parents leave their chicks huddled together in groups while they swim out to sea to find food. When they return, they locate their chicks within the group using calls and visual displays. It takes nearly a year before the chicks can find food for themselves.
