BALD EAGLE

Both male and female bald eagles participate in caring for the young. The mother eagle usually incubates the eggs and protects the chicks in the nest, while the father eagle provides food. Many bald eagle chicks do not survive, but those that do grow up to become very powerful predators, capable of killing prey larger than they are.
