MEET THE RIVER MONSTERS
Goonch Catfish: An alleged maneater, the goonch catfish lives in the Great Kali River between India and Nepal, where it can grow to the size of a person.
Wels Catfish: Hailing from Europe and Russia, the wels catfish — which can grow to 10 feet — has been accused of feasting on people as far back as the 15th century.
Piraiba Catfish: The largest catfish in the Amazon River, the flesh-eating piraiba — which can grow to 9-½ feet — has a sordid reputation for biting off more than it can chew.
