World Wildlife Fund, known worldwide by its panda logo, leads international efforts to protect the diversity of life on Earth. Now in its fourth decade, WWF works in more than 100 countries around the globe to leave our children a living planet.
WWF has been supporting programs in Nepal for over 30 years to preserve its unique biodiversity while conserving natural resources for future generations. Initially it focused on the preservation of endangered species and later widened its scope to include programs in capacity building, conservation education and institutional support to manage protected areas effectively. Today, WWF emphasizes sustainable human development while conserving and properly managing the country's natural resources. WWF also works to address the issues of pollution and environmental hazards.
