This park is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers great nature trails that both you and your dog will enjoy. There is lots of on-leash open space.

French Broad River Park - Asheville
This park, located inside a large park, is open from dawn to dusk and has trails for leashed walking after you're done playing. It is near a watering hole where dogs can swim off-leash. There is a good-size off-leash area with a mix of sun and shade and lots of friendly people and dogs.

Millbrook Dog Park - Raleigh
This park is located in Millbrook Exchange Park and is open from sunrise to sunset. It features three separate fenced-in areas. The Large Dog Park Area contains large, open areas as well as trees and natural areas. The Small Dog Park Area is a smaller area that is reserved for small, elderly, or infirm dogs. The Picnic Shelter Area is a separate section, situated between the Large Dog Park Area and the Small Dog Park Area, that can be used for picnics and provides a double-entry gate system for the two park areas. There is a separate double-entry gate to provide additional access to the Large Dog Park Area.

The Barking Lot - Kure Beach
This park is located off the Dow Road entrance to Kure Beach on the right coming in. It is open from 9 a.m. to dark and has a separate play area for small dogs as well as large ones. There is a water hole and different toys for all the dogs to play on and with. It also has a place where humans can sit and watch. All the dogs love it and so do the humans.
