The Arctic is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is also one of the most hostile. Cold rules this northern land, holding life at bay like a great impenetrable wall. Very few mammals can survive in this icy kingdom.

In the sea, a trio of whales has conquered the killing cold of Arctic waters: the snow white beluga, the mighty bowhead whale and the narwhal, famous for its bizarre unicorn-like tusk.
