Tiger Conservation
India is home to 55 percent of the world's tigers. Poaching, loss of habitat and loss of prey are the main threats to these tigers, and tigers around the world. While tigers are protected in most areas, some are still killed for their skins, used for ornamental puposes and sometimes other body parts used in traditional Chinese medicines.
