Cat Adaptations
The snow leopard bears lots of characteristics that make living in subzero conditions bearable. These animals have very thick fur, about an inch long on their backs and longer on their tails and stomachs. Their tails are longer than most cats and perfect for wrapping around their bodies to cover their faces in extremely cold temperatures. Their feet are also very furry and well padded for the cold as well as for climbing rocky surfaces.
