Dying Elephant
The desert heat without water is unforgiving and responsible for taking the lives of many elephants as Houdret and her crew — four hours from the nearest village and without veterinarian assistance — witnessed:
"When we found an elephant dying, that was very tricky filming.... We sent someone to look for help, but there was none. It was over five or six hours before the elephant died."
