They Got the Dog

Napoleon, Michael and Justine
small text
large text
Napoleon seems to love his new poolside California lifestyle with his new owners, and they are just as smitten with him. Find out about Napoleon's latest escapades as told by his chosen companions, Justine and Michael.

First Day
The first day at home with Napoleon was great. We were a bit watchful and attentive and wanted him to feel at home ASAP. He was very comfortable and sweet.

Home Fit for a Pooch
We bought him a bed, a house and lots of toys. Napoleon loves Caesar dog food and cheese. He loves chewing on his flavored bones, large and small, and chases all his toys around all day.

It's a Family Affair
We love playing with Napoleon and making him chase and find his toys. He's really good with taking baths. Michael is the leader of the pack with Napoleon, but with Justine, Napoleon gets his way.

Made for Each Other
Napoleon is very affectionate, playful, curious, smart, jealous and beautiful. He's always in a good mood. We like his companionship best.

Getting to Know You
The biggest adjustment we had to make is that we had to become very responsible, and now we're thinking of "us" and not just ourselves.

Favorite Pooch Pastime
Napoleon likes to sleep on the pillows in our bed, take walks and play with his toy ball.

Paws and Sit
He learned how to balance himself on his back two feet. He also understands the word "No."

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Dog Park
The first thing Napoleon did when he got in the car was press the window button with his paw to make it go down. We have to drive around with the window lock on at all times with Napoleon in the car. He also has a funny way of waking Justine up in the mornings. He pats her with his paw and stares, and if that fails, he starts licking her hair and face. He licks a lot and enjoys licking Michael's bald head whenever he gets an opportunity to show affection.

No One's Perfect
Napoleon is a chewer. He destroyed the entire cable TV wiring and Internet wires while we left him in the bedroom the third day we had him. We had to replace everything. We bought him tons of chewing toys and a large cage with a big bed inside. That's his safe place when we are away during the day. He's learned to really like it.

In Closing …
We are a happy little cheesy family!
