Adrian Warren is a biologist, commercial pilot, photographer, writer and filmmaker who has worked worldwide as a cameraman, staff producer for the BBC Natural History Unit and director in the IMAX giant screen format. More recently, Adrian has worked under the auspices of his own company, Last Refuge Ltd., with the aim of documenting our disappearing natural world through films, images and research. He has spent 38 years traveling to remote places around the world on scientific expeditions, photographic assignments, and making films on wildlife, anthropology, exploration and adventure.

His latest book, ENGLAND — An Aerial View, produced with his partner Dae Sasitorn, looks at the history of England's changing landscape, and is accompanied by 450 of their own color aerial photographs. He is now completing a book on the history of exploration of Venezuela's "Lost World."

Adrian has developed a special wing-mounted camera system, which is certified by the aviation authorities for use with Cessna aircraft. As a stills photographer, he works mainly in medium format 6x6 cm using Hasselblad cameras. His photographs appear worldwide in books, magazines, advertisements, posters, calendars, greetings cards and many other products.

Awards include a Winston Churchill Fellowship; the Cherry Kearton Medal from the Royal Geographical Society in London; the Genesis Award from the Ark Trust for Conservation; and film awards include an International Prime-Time Emmy; and the Golden Eagle Award from New York.
