Shellene Cockrell and Tim Singer co-host Animal Planet's exciting new series Ultimate Dog Championships, which highlights the amazing abilities of our canine friends. The hosts will serve as commentators for the show's events and competitions.

Shellene Cockrell

Shellene has been the host and analyst for the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge series for the past six years. She also hosts the monthly show MetroBeat Magazine for Comcast Cable in Denver, Colo., and is the host, producer and writer of a monthly half-hour magazine show called Castle Rock View for DC8 in Douglas County, Colo.

Before joining UDC, Shellene was an Emmy-nominated journalist working as a reporter and fill-in anchor for WB2 News (KWGN) in Denver from 2000 to 2005. She hosted a pilot women's sports talk show for Altitude Sports & Entertainment called The Vista, and has worked in a variety of other media capacities, including hosting and reporting roles for NBC, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports Net, Bravo, TBS, PAX Cable and the USA Network. She was also an anchor, reporter and producer for Newsradio 850KOA in Denver.

Shellene holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications with a double emphasis in print and broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University. She grew up in Colorado Springs and now lives in the Denver metro area. She enjoys tap, jazz and country dancing; traveling; spending time with family and friends; and, of course, she's a dog lover.

Tim Singer

Tim Singer worked his first two Olympics as a reporter for the NBC affiliate in Burlington, Vt., and was a commentator for TNT at the 1994 Lillehammer Games and 1998 Nagano Games.

Singer was the sports director and weekday anchor at WPTV in Burlington from 1982 to 1990. He has worked on a freelance basis since 1990, covering a wide range of sporting events, from basketball to dog shows and youth triathlons to professional tennis.
