Dr. Richard McCort studied veterinary medicine in New Zealand before working in numerous zoological facilities around the world as a volunteer. He was taken on as an assistant at Howletts Wild Animal Park in England and has since become veterinary manager at the world's premiere captive gorilla breeding facility. His main area of interest is anesthesia and developing new techniques for wildlife immobilization.
