EPISODE 3 — THE BEAR'S HUNGER (DIET)

In this episode of Corwin's Quest, Jeff answers the question, "Why do animals eat what they eat?" His main quest is to encounter a Kodiak bear in the wild and observe its fishing technique. To fulfill his mission, Jeff has to trek across Alaska's remote Kodiak Island, which is teeming with giant bears.

Along the way, Jeff discovers clues that keep him on the right track, including a tuft of bear fur and a big pile of ... Well, we'll let Jeff explain that one. He also nets a pink salmon for a close-up look at the Kodiak's favorite meal.

But that's not all. In a series of side quests, Jeff discovers what leafcutter ants do with all those leaves, why proboscis monkeys are potbellied, and how it feels to have one's teeth brushed by a cleaner shrimp.
