Animal Planet: He's back. Jeff Corwin returns with a new series, "Corwin's Quest," and to answer your burning animal questions. We know you've been waiting. Go ahead. Ask your favorite wildlife expert everything you always wanted to know.
Jeff Corwin: I'm so excited to launch this new series. We've been in production for 14 months, and I hope everyone watching it is as challenged and enjoying it as much as I am producing it. It's one of those personal things where I'm so afraid I'm looking at it through a blind jaded eye — that I'm seeing it through my experience — that it's one of the best TV animal nature things that I've ever done.
Zoologist 08: When you where a child, did you ever have some exotic pets? I have a Madagascar roach and an African spider.
Jeff Corwin: When I grew up, I was very active in wildlife rehabilitation. Basically, I lived a pretty charmed life for an animal lover. I was always surrounded by animals around the age of six. Today, I don't have any exotics living around me. The only non-humanoid animal living in my house is a cat, and that's all we have because my personal philosophy after a lifetime of working and living with animals, which is that exotic, non-traditional animals should only be kept for legitimate purposes, such as wildlife rehabilitation, primitive outreach education and conservation type programs. But I do love animals and I love being around them.
