Despite Steve Irwin's untimely death, his name and cause will always be remembered. Since Steve's passing, people have continued to support both his conservationist efforts and family. Terri is still managing Wildlife Warriors, an organization that she and Steve started in 2002, to educate the public on wildlife and protect the natural environment. Terri also continues her management of the Australia Zoo. As for Bindi Irwin, she is following her father's footsteps in television. Bindi has appeared on both day- and nighttime television, while starring in her own show, Bindi Irwin the Jungle Girl.

It is indisputable that Steve Irwin had a long-lasting impact on not only his fans, but the television network that he embraced for years, Animal Planet. In honor of Irwin, Animal Planet is encouraging people to donate money to the Wildlife Warrior Fund.
