Caption: I have always wanted to go to Australia so I could visit the zoo, and meet my favorite animal conservationist, Steve Irwin. But, money has always been a factor in that dream. So, when I was on vacation in Florida (2004) and I got the chance to hold a young alligator, after a swamp boat ride, I was so excited and thought it would be the next best thing to going to Australia. I felt just like Steve — although from the look on my face you can see I wasn't as confident as Steve would have been! Now every time I look at this photo I think of my animal hero — my friend I never met — Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin! God Bless the Irwin family now. You are all in my thoughts and prayers!
