Jodie Chapman
Jodie, or "Jode" to her friends, started work at Australia Zoo in February 1997 as mammal coordinator before being promoted to head mammal keeper. She is responsible for the care of all the zoo's mammals but is heavily involved in the well-being of its koalas. Jodie temporarily took over from Kelsey Engle as curator in July 2001 while the latter was traveling overseas. As the zoo's animal population increased dramatically, Jodie was promoted to director's assistant and is now responsible for every detail of all the animals at Australia Zoo. When she isn't working, Jodie loves to spend as much time as possible on the beach and planning for her next trip overseas.
