Skunk Log Cabin

Episode: Green Heron, Muskrat

Materials: 4-6 logs, 6-8 inches in diameter and 3-4 feet in length,medium-sized sticks for cover and as braces about 18-30 inches in length, heavy hammer or sledgehammer

Instructions:

1) Lay out the logs where the cabin will be constructed.

2) Drive four stakes, four per wall, two on the inside and two on the outside of the log. This is the brace that will hold the walls in place.

3) Stack another log on top, so the walls are two logs high. If you are building a back wall, leave enough space between the back and sidewall for an escape route.

4) Create a roof by layering the medium-sized sticks across the top of the walls.

5) Lean some of the sticks to make the front of the cabin, and be sure to leave a doorway.
