Mockingbird Pizza

Episode: Mockingbird and Hummingbird

Purpose: To bake a delightful dish that will attract mockingbirds to your backyard.

Materials: Pizza pan or baking pan; large spoon; mixing bowl; pizza cutter; 2 pounds suet; 1 Cup peanut butter; ¼ Cup each raisins, seeds, chopped nuts, fruit pieces; ½ Cup each bread crumbs, oatmeal, cornmeal and flour if needed.

Instructions:

1) In a large pot over low heat, melt the suet and peanut butter.

2) Mix the other ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

3) Slowly add the melted suet and peanut butter to the mixture. Stir the mixture together.

4) Add extra flour, cornmeal, bread crumbs or oatmeal to thicken up the mixture if needed.

5) Pour the mixture into a greased pizza pan or baking sheet and place in freezer until mixture hardens.

6) With a warm knife or pizza cutter, cut the frozen pizza into small pieces and place the pizza pieces on a platform feeder or ground feeder.
