Episode: River Otter, Mallard Duck, Wood Stork

Materials: wire fencing, wire cutters, pliers, hose clamps, 10-foot-long plastic/fiberglass pipe, 1 1/2-inch diameter, hay/pine mulch, 3-foot x 3-foot hardware cloth, spool soft wire

Instructions:

1) Cut a piece of wire fence and make a funnel with a diameter of 26 inches at the top.

2) Secure the bottom of the wire funnel to the pole using the hose clamps.

3) Place the wire clothe in the wire frame. Fold the edges over and secure using the soft wire.

4) Line the basket with hay.

5) Sink the structure in the sediment. The basket should sit about 3-5 feet above the water.
