Episode: Band-Tailed Pigeon and Mountain Beaver

Purpose: To create a welcoming and discrete birdhouse for the band-tailed pigeon.

Materials: Birdhouse, paintbrush, moss, buttermilk and a mixing bowl.

Instructions:

1) Tear the moss into small bits and place the bits into a mixing bowl.

2) Pour some buttermilk over the moss bits and stir to cover the moss in the milk.

3) Apply a small amount of glue to the outside of the birdhouse.

4) Stick the moss onto the house.

5) Hang in a shaded area and spritz the moss every couple of days to keep it moist. After a week or so, the moss should take hold and start to grow over the birdhouse.
