Episode: Black-Tailed Jackrabbits, Western Fence Lizard and Pelicans

Purpose: To add a touch of elegance to your backyard with flowerpots and water dishes.

Materials: Wide flowerpot with drainage holes; small flowerpot water tray; decorative rock, glass or pebbles; a variety of small plants; potting soil.

Instructions:

1) Pour the decorative rock in the bottom of the flowerpot.

2) Mix in the soil and plant the plants around the edge of the flowerpot, leaving the center clear.

3) Next, place the small water tray in the center of the flowerpot so the plants are surrounding the tray.

4) Dig a hole deep enough to bury the flowerpot up to the rim of the pot, leaving only the plants and water tray exposed.

5) Fill up the water tray with water.
