In this episode, Molly and David visit kindred hearts in Janet Rock and Steve Kemp, rangers for the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. These nature lovers want to bring their work home with them, so to speak, by creating a habitat for the chipmunks, woodpeckers, red-backed salamanders and gray squirrels around their cabin. With the addition of a few simple features, like oak trees, a roosting box, feeders and an amphibian home made from organic material found around their house, Janet and Steve can provide food, water and shelter for all kinds of woodland creatures. And for the squirrels in your back yard, find out how to keep their stomachs full while keeping their paws out of your birdseed, by squirrel-proofing your feeder with rope and PVC. You'll also discover how to fight back against invasive bugs like the Asian adelgid, which can wreak havoc on native trees.
